Contributions and gifts of women
Dear friends,

Women contribute much in the fields of justice and charity, and in this edition of Women Matter, a lot of their stories are featured. There is the story of the Fitzroy afterschool group as featured in yesterday's Cathnews by Professor Gabrielle McMullen; there is also a media statement celebrating 30 years of the Josephites in Peru.
Sometimes we can feel frustrated when as women (and men) we are prevented from doing things in our Church. However, I hope that the incredible contributions of these women who are featured have made to the Australian and international Catholic Church will bring hope and inspiration about the things that we do so well.

With lots of blessings!

Beth Doherty
